Hitler - major cause for India's independence

All my life I have placed my theory of India's independence to my friends. Everyone seems to agree to it, but no one accepted it ever. Maybe because they are too patriotic to let an outsider be the reason of India's independence.

According to Wikipedia,
"The Indian independence movement was a movement from 1857 (in many cases, even pre-dating 1857) until 15 August 1947, when India got independence from the British Raj. The movement involved many political and social organizations and armed and unarmed struggle. Many political ideas also contributed to the movement and the most famous person in it was Mohandas Gandhi."

Even I agreed to the above but these reasons seem too inadequate to be the major contributor to India's independence. After analyzing the events of World War 2 in chronological order, my theory goes like this.

When Adolf Hitler led Nazi Germany blitzkrieg attack on England, Winston Churchill decided to fight till the death of his last citizen. Due to which, the power of England decreased tremendously. England had to call most of its military forces in the Colonies including India to avoid defeat. Even though England won the World War 2, but the damage done was sufficient that they lost control over India even before Independence. The formation of United Nations did the rest. England had to leave India after setting up a Government. Even if they would not have left India, they would have perished anyway.
